"The Cleanser" Smoothie Recipe


Spring is here! This is the perfect time to RESET after eating heavy comforting winter foods.

Our bodies are craving cleansing foods at this time, so I am sharing one of my favorite smoothie recipes to get you started.

If you are ready to kick the belly bloat, have more energy and release some of that extra weight, then start adding a smoothie daily.

Smoothies are miraculous in so many ways. They are:

  • Shock-full of vitamins, enzymes and minerals;

  • Easy to digest;

  • Stabilize blood sugar;

  • Cleanse the body of toxicity;

  • Natural energy;

  • Best On-The-Go meal.

I usually have a smoothie for breakfast, an hour before my workout. But it is really up to you which meal you'd like to replace with a smoothie.

After a couple of days you should feel a difference in your energy levels and digestion. You'll start to feel lighter.

Here is what you need for 2 servings:

1 1/2 cups water, or almond, hemp or coconut milk

1 cup mixed greens (such as kale, spinach or lettuce)

1/2 cup berries, fresh or frozen

1/2 cup cilantro

1/4 teaspoon turmeric

Dash of cinnamon

1 teaspoon of coconut oil

Juice from 1 lemon

Simply blend all the ingredients in a blender with 3-4 ice-cubes (optional). If needed, add some water to reach your desired thickness.

This recipes serves 2 people or can be used to substitute 1 large meal.
